From measurements to printing — in 10 minutes

A short route to your first garment on the platform. Follow the steps — the most important points are highlighted separately: print scale and the control square.

Step 1. Take your measurements

You need 5 basic ones: bust, waist and hip circumference, back length to waist, shoulder length. Keep the measuring tape snug, without tension, parallel to the floor on circumferences. Measure yourself twice: if the difference is more than 1 cm — measure a third time.

💡 Bust is measured across the prominent points of the bust and shoulder blades; waist — at the narrowest place; hips — at the widest (accounting for the belly).

Step 2. Create a project and a measurement profile

In your account: “Projects” → “New project” → enter measurements. Describe the garment in words (“wrap pencil skirt”, “double-breasted coat”) — the classifier will pick the construction block itself.

💡 For children's garments specify the height — the kids' measurement grid and grading by height will turn on.

Step 3. Build the pattern and check the quality score

The v3 engine builds the construction using the Müller method in seconds and checks itself: shoulder and side seam balance, sleeve cap length vs armhole. All remarks are shown as a list — read them, this is honest diagnostics, not decoration. Important: patterns are built by engineering formulas, not generated by a neural network — AI here only analyzes the model photo (the green dashed modeling lines on the draft).

💡 Control lengths (shoulder, side, armhole, cap, step) are labeled in blue on the draft — compare them with your method.

Step 4. Print the PDF at 1:1 scale

Download the PDF — it is assembled from A4 sheets with alignment marks. In the print dialog be sure to choose “Actual size” / “Scale 100%”, NOT “fit to page”.

💡 Print one sheet with the control square first — check it, then print everything.

Step 5. Check the control square

A 100×100 mm square is printed on the first sheet. Measure it with a ruler: it must be exactly 100 mm on both sides.

💡 A deviation over 1 mm means the print scale is wrong: check the 100% setting and disable “fit to page”.

Step 6. Cut and sew — assembly steps included

The pattern comes with: an assembly order with seam types, a tech sheet with equipment (downloaded separately), DXF/PLT export for CAD and plotters. Sew the first garment from a new construction in mock-up fabric.

💡 Found an inaccuracy in the construction? Write to us — every technologist's remark becomes an engine test.

✅ Control square checklist (print it and hang it by the printer)

  1. The print dialog is set to “Actual size” / “100%” (not “fit to page”).
  2. The first sheet with the 100×100 mm square is printed.
  3. Measured with a ruler: 100 mm horizontally and 100 mm vertically (tolerance ±1 mm).
  4. Sheets are glued along the alignment marks, lines meet without offset.
  5. Control lengths on the draft (shoulder, side, armhole) match the labeled values.
  6. The first garment is made from mock-up fabric, fit checked on the figure.
